Hypertext Fiction are literary works characterized by linking structures. In early life of hypertext fiction, storyspace, was the main progarm used to create hypertext. Hypertext fiction was distributed on CDs to be used on computers. In Literature in a Wired World, our hypertext fiction is Shelley Jackson's Patchwork Girl. Currently we see hypertext all over the internet, commonly in wikis where mass information can be linked.
Interactive fiction describes software simulating environments in which players use text commands to control characters and influence the environment. It presents itself as a form of electronic literature that is characterized by strong game elements and the presence of a parsor, an interactive environment and the interactor. Commonly seen as a text-based work or animation-based. A parsor is, as defined by Katherine Hayles, a computer program that understands and replies to the interactors inputs, while it is the interactor that is controlling a player character by issuing commands. The digital environment. provides a surrounding or a setting for the parsor and the interactor to interact and proceed through the fiction. An example of interactive fiction would be Emily Short's Savoir-Faire, which is an interactive problem solving fiction.
